Teaching has been my vocation since I started studying languages (English and French) in 1984 at Heidelberg University. I gathered my first practical teaching experience in France (Douarnenez; 1988-1989) and Wales (Radyr and Cowbridge; 1990-1991) as a language assistant.

I carried on teaching alongside my PhD, in Cardiff: I was part time tutor for English literature in the English Department, and French and German tutor in the Department of Continuing Education and the European Language Centre.

Since 1997, I have been teaching courses in English literature, cultural and media studies at Leeds Trinity University, Heidelberg University, Coventry University and the University of Malta.

I’m currently doing my teacher training for secondary education (English and French) at the Staatliches Seminar für Didaktik und Lehrerbildung (Gymnasien) Heidelberg and the Hebel-Gymnasium Schwetzingen.
